Travel Through Time New Mexico Archaeology Fair

October 4, 2014

Saturday, October 4, 2014, 10 am to 4 pm

You can be a part of the State of New Mexico's Historic Preservation Office's 16th Archaeology Fair, Travel Through Time, set for October 4 from 10 am to 4 pm at Ralph Edwards Park in Truth or Consequences.

This year's fair will be held in conjunction with the Saturday, October 4 Truth or Consequences/Sierra County Farmer's Market in Ralph Edwards Park. A close look at historic, or commercial, archaeology and a tour of the Hot Springs Bathhouse and Commercial Historic District led by Main Street-Truth or Consequences are among the highlights.

Fair activites include an atlatl range, Nerf atlatl, a table where kids can learn to make pottery, rock art and handprints, flintknapping and lithics, bone tools, cordage making and pottery sorting.

Join the Office of Archaeological Studies at this exciting State Historic Preservation Office sponsored event.
