Fiona began her archaeological career during her undergraduate education at the University of New Mexico, where she concentrated primarily on Chaco collections and worked closely with several prominent professors in the field.

After attending field school in Farmington, New Mexico, she went on to conduct various collection analyses and presented a poster at the 2019 Pecos Conference. Her expertise is in lithic analysis, and she focuses on Plains-Pueblo relationships in Northern New Mexico.
