Although my background is in archaeology, I began editing in earnest in 1980 for the University of Sheffield and the York Archaeological Trust while living in England. I came to work here in 1988 and continued freelance work for the Smithsonian Institution Press, Utah University Press, and the University of Hawaii Press, among others.
You will also find me busy advocating for workers' rights. I have been involved with the labor movement for 18 years and am president of Local 7076, State Employee Alliance, Communications Workers of America, representing 3,000 state employees in eleven state agecies, including those in the Department of Cultural Affairs.
